Zimbabwe wildlife can be found mostly in the country’s national parks and reserves, with a fairly wide range of large and small mammals to be found alongside the copious amount of reptiles (especially lizards, which take all colours and shapes) and insects. The national animal of Zimbabwe is the Sable antelope, which can be seen at national parks such as Hwange National Park, Mana Pools National Park, Matobo National Park, Zambezi National Park and Victoria Falls National Park.

Animals in Zimbabwe have sadly dwindled in their numbers, especially after the conflict and turmoil that has faced Zimbabwe over the past decade or so. Animals that can be seen however include large numbers of elephant, plus lion, antelope, leopard, rhino, crocodile and hippo to name but a few.
