Harare is the capital city of Zimbabwe, and is home to some two million people.

The country’s current economic instability means that Harare budget travel is not the most popular or safest option at present; however the city does have a lot to offer visitors who travel through this area.

Harare Budget Safaris

With the economic crisis in Zimbabwe, prices are exorbitant, making Harare budget safaris fairly tricky.

However, there are a number of historical and cultural landmarks and attractions in the city worthwhile exploring.

Attractions include the Mining Pension Fund Building in Central Avenue and Second Street, the National Gallery, the National Archives, Queen Victoria Museum and the Queen Victoria National Library at the civic center, the National Botanic Gardens, Mukuvisi Woodlands and the stunning views from the Kopje.

Other things to look out for are the open flea-market at Mbare, where African curios and handcrafts can be purchased; outdoor cafes serving traditional local dishes and the cheap and surprisingly good Chibuku beer.
