Gweru birdlife 150 species of birds including African Fish Eagle, African Marsh Palid & Montegu's Harriers, Longclaws, Secretary Birds and Grey Cuckooshrike.


Antelope Park has a number of Gweru conservation efforts including wildlife rehabilitation, and a number of rare and endangered birds can be found in the area.

•Avoid large crowds and street demonstrations which may turn violent
•Be cautious at game reserves and do not attempt to touch or feed wildlife

Gweru wildlife can be found in the Antelope Park game reserve situated just outside of town, where a range of species can be seen, including Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Impala, Kudu, Warthog, Jackal and Duiker.
