Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe

Hwange National Park is one of the great nature reserves in Africa and happens to be the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe. There are plenty of salt pans within this park that provide for a unique game viewing experience. These natural salt licks are shallow pools that provide elephants with perfect shallow mudholes that become their playground. What can be more exciting than watching these massive land animals splashing around and having fun with the rest of the herd?

Hwange National Park mostly has acacia scrub vegetation and grassy plains. The park itself is fairly desolate when it comes to tourists, making it that much more exciting for the adventure traveller!

Although the National Park does not attract mass loads of tourists, there is still a petrol station and airport located within the area!
