The commercial town of Gweru is located on the Gweru River. The town has an interesting industrial history and the quiet, smooth flowing Gweru River provides for some dazzling scenery.

Although Gweru is an industrial town, there are still many interesting and worthwhile activities to engage in. The antelope park is a haven for adventure activities that include going for elephant rides, game viewing, feeding the lion cubs and kayaking on the gentle flowing Gweru River.
