“The Smoke that Thunders” is the name that has been given to the grand Victoria Falls that plummet down into the great Zambezi River. The Zambezi River is the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. There is a bridge across the Zambezi River that connects Zambia with Zimbabwe and the town of Livingstone is a mere 10 km away from Victoria Falls.

Livingstone is on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls and offers its visitors a quaint sense of colonial charm and old Victorian architecture. Whilst staying on the quieter Zambian side you still have the option of involving yourself in many of the adventure activities that the Zambezi offers.
