About Kabale

Kabale is situated in Uganda, close to a number of key attractions, making Kabale backpacking tours an ideal option for Uganda travel.

With a range of key birding areas including Lake Bunyonyi and Ha'Buharo Island, Kabale birdlife is rich and diverse, with a range of species to see including African Jacana, Yellow Billed Duck, Long Tailed Cormorant, Great Cormorant and the Pink Backed Pelican.


Set in one of the most beautiful and diverse countries in the world, Kabale conservation is essential to preserve the regions precious biodiversity, and as the region shares the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park grounds, conservation plays a vital role in preserving these habitats.

•Avoid large crowds or demonstrations which may turn violent
