Selcuk Safety - Is it Safe to Travel in Selcuk?

For travelers wondering about Selcuk safety - is it safe to travel in Selcuk? Generally speaking, the answer is yes - Selcuk is a safe and tourist-friendly destination, with plenty of friendly locals who are used to travelers passing through on route to popular destinations and attractions within the area.

With that said, like any other tourist destination, scams can sometimes occur. Single travelers should take care when traveling anywhere in Turkey, especially if you are traveling via public transport. Look out for any taxis that may not seem legit, and always trust your instinct - if you are in doubt, rather wait for the next taxi or bus.

Selcuk does not have any major hospitals or health care facilities that are on a par with the hospitals in the bigger cities, so in the event of injury or accident, it may take a while to get to the nearest hospital. Be careful, and try to avoid accidents such as falling, tripping or other issues that could occur when exploring the ruins around Selcuk.
