Hi Risa; we sell scheduled overland truck safaris which is a fantastic and awesome way to travel as you get to see and experience quite a lot in a short space of time. We have trips ranging from 3-days to 70 days full of adventure and fun. Although there are some long driving days; this is just to get to another destination as distances that need to be covered during tours can be quite lengthy. I have emailed you some more information and we look forward to seeing you on one of our trips! Happy trails!

My daughter has always wanted to go on a safari. She is 16 and I am considering a trip for June 2012 for 2 weeks. I hesitate because I did not want a package tour that feels touristy; I travelled around the world with my back pack 1982-1986 and hated the package tour coming in and out; making a mess... Not seeing or learning anything. What would you recommend for June as a trip. She wants to see animals in their habitat; but I am not interested in dangerous areas. We would be coming from Lyon; France. Thanks for information. Best risa

Hi Louise! There is a designated camp site called Spitzkoppe Camp which has ablution facilities and designated camping sites. They also have basic bungalows available but to the best of our knowledge they do not have pre erected tents for hire. You can contact Spitzkoppe Camp at 264 64 530879 for updated information. Cheers!

Hi Jackie; Uganda has tropical weather the the wet season in the Northern parts of Uganda is from April to October. I suggest a light rain coat that you can purchase from any outdoor store.Cheers

Hi Heidi; You can head to Spitzkoppe and pay for your camping and entrance at the gate on arrival - there is no need to book in advance most of the time. It is a huge camping area with numerous designated campsites so rarely gets full. Otherwise you can contact Spitzkoppe Campsite direct on 264 64 530879. Have fun!

The highlight of my trip had to be Gweru in Zimbabwe, it was my idea of paradise. So much to do there with the animals and the location of it was just beautiful!

The trip was great! A very relaxed ride in a mokoro, followed by camping in the Okavango Delta and watching the animals on the islands was awesome!
