You might be wondering what you will need for your safari – what to pack for your safari in Tanzania? Basic clothing to pack includes loose, lightweight clothing with long sleeves in neutral colours like tan or beige for game drives.
You will need a good pair of sturdy, comfortable walking or hiking shoes, as well as pair of sandals for beach areas and indoor use.
Be sure to pack a swimming costume and beach gear, including spare towels. Sunglasses, sunhat and sunscreen are essential all year round. A warm jacket and a raincoat are a good idea during the wet seasons and cooler weather, and women should pack long skirts that cover the knees, and t-shirts that cover the shoulders as per local traditions. Finally, don’t forget to pack your camera plus extra batteries, film or memory card. A pair of binoculars is also a good idea for bird spotting.
