A day-by-day breakdown of what to expect and where you'll be staying.


Table Mountain to Kruger

Day 1, Cape Town to Cedarberg

This morning we make our way northward out of Cape Town, passing through the beautiful wine lands. We set camp tonight in the shadow of the Cederberg Mountains.

Day 2, Cedarberg to Orange River - South Africa

Today we journey to a region that is renown for its wildflower display in the Spring, Namaqualand. We make a quick pit stop in Springbok for supplies before journeying on to the Orange River. Tonight we camp on its banks.

Day 3, Orange River - South Africa to Fish River Canyon

An optional half day canoe trip on the calm Orange River is available here this morning. After enjoying lunch we border cross into Namibia. Our campsite is Hobas, which is only a short drive away from the Fish River Canyon.

Day 4, Fish River Canyon to Sesriem

We enter the Namib Naukluft Park and the oldest desert in the world today as we drive towards the dune fields of Sesriem and Sossusvlei. The stark but stunning landscape is worthy of some brilliant photos!

Day 5, Sesriem to Sesriem via (Sossusvlei)

An early start as we enter into the park and head for Dune 45. Clamber to the top for a stunning high-point view over the dunes. We continue to Sossusvlei and from here you will have your own free time to explore the vlei or the surrounding area. Stunning photographic opportunities are available in the dunes so bring those cameras!!

Day 6, Sesriem to Swakopmund

A spectacular sunset awakens us this morning. We travel north towards Walvis Bay via some glorious desert passes, and make our way along the coast, before finally arriving in Namibia's prime adventure resort - Swakopmund.

Day 7, Swakopmund

A leisure day today to get the feel of this quaint German town sandwiched between the edge of a massive dune field and the ocean. Take on some adventure activities or relax in a cafe on the beachfront.

Day 8, Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe

Today we make our way to the ancient San bushman sacred site of Spitzkoppe. Explore the 1728m high formation and view the rock paintings before bush camping under the African stars.

Day 9, Spitzkoppe to Kamanjab

After a last look at Spitzkoppe we head off to Kamanjab and visit the Himba people living there. The Himba are a pastoral people and we spend some time learning about their way of life in modern times.

Day 10, Kamanjab to Etosha National Park

The jewel of Namibia's wildlife crown awaits - Etosha National Park. After a brief stop to check in we spend some time game driving through a small part of the park on our way to our camp.

Day 11, Etosha National Park

Today we enjoy a full day of game driving, making our way east along the length of the park. After dinner make your way to another floodlit water hole to see what animals arrive at the water to drink, or relax at the campsite.

Day 12, Etosha National Park to Windhoek

We leave the wildlife to head to the capital city of Windhoek. You may wish to explore this city steeped in German atmosphere or choose to enjoy a flagon of ale at one of the local taverns.

Day 13, Windhoek to Ghanzi

From Windhoek we take the scenic route to Botswana. Crossing the Buitepos border we head to Ghanzi where we meet up with a local Bushman community.

Day 14, Ghanzi to Maun

From Ghanzi we head to Maun which is the gateway to the Okavango Delta.

Day 15, Maun to Okavango Delta

You have the opportunity to take a 3 day / 2 night excursion into the Delta. You travel in local transport and then in mokoros, the local dug out canoes, which are poled by local guides through the winding waterways. These local canoes are a perfect way to navigate this waterway wonder - the biggest inland Delta in the world. Your guides will select a place out in the bush to set up camp. An afternoon game walk will allow you to experience the Delta wilderness in all its glory.

Day 16, Okavango Delta

A full day is set aside to enjoy the activities on offer in the Delta, while the programme of activities is flexible to accommodate the seasonal changes, you will have the opportunity to enjoy amongst other activities traditional mokoro rides and natures walks. The Okavango Delta is not only a natural wonder, but represents one of the last great wilderness areas in the world today

Day 17, Maun to Caprivi Strip

Leaving the Delta behind us this morning we make our way to the border and re-enter Namibia. As we transit through the Caprivi Strip, much of our day is spent travelling through Game Parks and there is always the possibility of a lucky sighting. We overnight a short distance from the Botswana border as we prepare for an exciting day of activities in Chobe National Park tomorrow.

Day 18, Caprivi Strip to Kasane

We enjoy our breakfast in Namibia this morning before returning to Botswana and our camp on the banks of the Chobe River. Lunch will be served from the truck and the afternoon is set aside for exploring the Chobe National Park. We begin our exploration in 4x4 vehicles, which allows us an
up close and personal experience with the many Elephants that frequent the River in the afternoons. The afternoon ends with a leisurely Boat Cruise and a meal served around the campfire.

Day 19, Kasane to Victoria Falls

After a hearty brunch we make our way into Zimbabwe and to Victoria Falls. Approx 1700 m wide and 100 m high, Victoria Falls is a memorable sight! Take part in one of the many adventure activities or relax by the pool.

Day 20, Victoria Falls

Today you will have a chance to do a few of the optional activities on offer in this adventure paradise. The Falls can be seen from many viewing points in the Victoria Falls Park or from the Zambian side. You will have many photo opportunities. Bungee jumping enthusiasts can take the plunge from the Zambezi Bridge, which connects Zambia and Zimbabwe and the White water rafting is considered world class. Also, flights over the Vic Falls and the islands are available.

Day 21, Victoria Falls to Francistown via (Nata)

Departing Victoria Falls this morning, we cross into Botswana and travel south to Francistown in central Botswana. We reach our overnight stop on the outskirts of Francistown in the late afternoon

Day 22, Francistown to Johannesburg

Today we cross the border into South Africa and a long drive brings us to the outskirts of the 'city of gold',

Day 23, Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

We depart Johannesburg and travel to the Mpumalanga region of South Africa - meaning 'place of the rising sun'. We enter the Kruger region and have the option of trying out a sunset game drive.

Day 24, Kruger National Park

Game Drives and animal spotting take up our day with the odd stop for lunch or a swim if the weather allows.

Day 25, Kruger National Park to God’s Window

This morning we re-enter the Kruger National Park and spend the morning on a game drive in our Nomad truck. After our game drive, we exit the park and journey along the scenic Panorama where we will visit God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels. We return to camp in the early evening for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 26, Kruger National Park to Johannesburg

An opportunity for a early morning game drive before we return to Johannesburg and the end of our tour.
