Best Time to Visit Syria - When is the best time to Travel to Syria?

If you’re travelling to the country, you may be pondering the best time to visit Syria – when is the best time to travel to Syria? Generally speaking, Spring and Autumn are the best times, offering the best weather conditions. Spring runs between March and May, while Autumn runs between September and November.

The hot Summer months between June and August are typically hot and almost unbearable for travel, with temperatures reaching a staggering 45C/110F during the hottest months. Winter on the other hand, is very cold and wet – making it not ideal for travel, especially as many attractions are found in the open. It is also always advised to check when the month of Ramadan falls in Syria, as this is not always the best time for westerners – many shops are closed and the paces is overall a lot quieter. At the end of Ramadan however there is a feasting day, which can be a great chance for westerners to enjoy traditional Syrian meals and culture.
