Aleppo Safety - Is it Safe to Travel in Aleppo?

For those wondering about Aleppo safety – is it safe to travel in Aleppo? Aleppo is generally a safe city to visit. Obviously as the nature of travel involves discovery and exploration of new surroundings it is wise to apply the same general safety and preventative precautions as on any trip. Although locals are friendly, they are conservative. It would still be a good idea to dress in a conservative way. This is more relevant to female travellers. Covering of legs and arms will attract less unwanted attention. While you want to experience the special charisma of locals on your trip, the old saying about not talking to strangers in certain contexts may be apt.

Discussion regarding political issues in the region is best left untouched. Regardless of whether you agree with your companions’ positions or not; disagreement might lead to heated argument and agreement could well engender suspicion.
