Syria AIDS

As a devout and predominately Muslim country, Syria AIDS is very uncommon. The overall rate of prevalence in the country was given at 0.1% in a 2003 survey, with under 500 people reported to have contracted the disease. This means that HIV/AIDS is not a huge health risk when visiting Syria, but also means that travellers who have been diagnosed with HIV or AIDS will need to take extra precautions when travelling to ensure that the disease is not passed on.
