Day 1, Livingstone

Our day is at leisure to explore the town of David Livingstone and experience some of the many activities.

Day 2, Livingstone

With a day full of adventure, be sure not to miss the Bungee from Victoria Falls bridge, World class White Water rafting or abseil down Batoka Gorge. For the less adventurous there is horse back safaris, elephant back safaris, and the ever popular 'Flight of the Angels'.

Day 3 to 4, Livingstone to Caprivi Strip

From Livingstone we enter the Caprivi Strip. A narrow strip of Namibian land extending between Zambia, Botswana and Zambia. We explore this remote region which hosts a variety of animal and bird species due to the proximity to many large rivers.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Caprivi_Strip_Namibia/3350837533_s.jpg

Day 5, Caprivi Strip to Rundu

Along the Kavango river we travel directly west. Local crafts and carvings are a common sight as we travel past villages with grass huts.

Day 6, Rundu to Etosha National Park

We arrive at Etosha National Park in the late afternoon. Etosha is Namibia's major nature reserve, covering over 22 000 square kilometres with a large variety of animal and bird species. The park is situated around the Etosha Pan, and has a network of gravel roads that enables us to get to far & remote areas of the park.

Day 7, Etosha National Park to Twyfelfontein

Leaving the wildlife behind us we travel to the world heritage site of Twyfelfontein. Over 2000 ancient bushman paintings adorn the rocks, caves and overhangs of this site and we take time to explore the area on foot with our local guide.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Twyfelfontein_Namibia_/2824252157_s.jpg

Day 8, Twyfelfontein to Brandberg

A relatively short drives takes us to the Brandberg (Burning Mountain), Namibia's highest mountain. Here we bush camp and explore the area famous for the 'White Lady' Bushmen painting.

Day 9, Brandberg to Swakopmund (via Cape Cross Seal Colony)

On our way to the German town of Swakopmund we make a short visit at the Cape Cross Seal Colony.

Day 10, Swakopmund

A leisure day today to get the feel of this quaint German town sandwiched between the edge of a massive dune field and the ocean. Take on some adventure activities or relax in a cafe on the beachfront.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Swakopmund_Namibia_/3358811619_s.jpg

Day 11, Swakopmund to Sesriem

Today we head south, past Walvis Bay enroute to Sesriem. Close by and surrounded by a sea of sand dunes, is Sossusvlei. The top of the dunes, some over 300m high, offers fantastic views of the desert. We spend the afternoon exploring and can enjoy the glorious sunset from the top of a big dune should the weather permit.

Day 12, Sesriem to Sesriem (via Sossusvlei)

An early start as we enter into the park and head for Dune 45. Clamber to the top for a stunning high-point view over the dunes. We continue to Sossusvlei and from here you will have your own free time to explore the vlei or the surrounding area. Stunning photographic opportunities are available in the dunes so bring those cameras!!

Day 13, Sesriem to Windhoek

After watching the sunrise across this beautiful area we leave the serenity of the dunes and head north to Windhoek.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Windhoek_Namibia/3351140836_s.jpg

Day 14, Windhoek to Ghanzi

We cross into Botswana and enter the Kalahari region. The sand masses of the Kalahari were created by the erosion of soft stone formations. The wind shaped the sand ridges, which are so typical of the landscape of this area. We take a walk with the local Bushmen to learn fascinating bush skills.

Day 15, Ghanzi to Maun

From Ghanzi we head to Maun which is the gateway to the Okavango Delta.

Day 16, Maun to Okavango Delta

You have the opportunity to take a 3 day / 2 night excursion into the Delta. You travel in local transport and then in mokoros, the local dug out canoes, which are poled by local guides through the winding waterways. These local canoes are a perfect way to navigate this waterway wonder - the biggest inland Delta in the world. Your guides will select a place out in the bush to set up camp. An afternoon game walk will allow you to experience the Delta wilderness in all its glory.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Okavango_DeltaBotswana_/3348423443_s.jpg

Day 17, Okavango Delta

Early morning and late afternoon game walks give you time in the middle of the day to relax, chill out and enjoy your surroundings. Why don't you have a go at poling your own mokoro? It is not as easy as it looks!

Day 18, Okavango Delta to Maun

Today we return to Maun, however, you will have the chance for an early morning game walk before packing up camp. There is also the option of a scenic flight over the Delta in the afternoon - the best way to appreciate the expanse of waterways you have travelled through.

Day 19, Maun to Makgadikgadi Pans

We have time for an optional flight over the Delta before heading to the towards the town of Nata and the nearby Makgadikgadi Pans. Here we have the opportunity to watch beautiful sunsets over the shimmering endless salt pans.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Makgadikgadi_pans_Botswana_/2807980251_s.jpg

Day 20, Makgadikgadi Pans to Chobe National Park

Travelling north we enter the Chobe National Park- famous for its herds of Elephant. We camp in the park and enjoy Africa at its best.
