/images/flickr/Photo_of_Aus_Namibia/3403604559_s.jpg

Day 5, Aus to Sesriem

From the Aus region we are off to the oldest desert on the planet which is found at the Namib Naukluft National Park. The giant sand dunes of Sossusvlei are close by. These are the highest sand dunes in the world and there are plenty of adventure activities to engage in!

Day 6, Sesriem to Sesriem (via Sossusvlei)

An early start as we enter into the park and head for Dune 45. Clamber to the top for a stunning high-point view over the dunes. We continue to Sossusvlei and from here you will have your own free time to explore the vlei or the surrounding area. Stunning photographic opportunities are available in the dunes so bring those cameras!!

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Sesriem_Namibia/3346877746_s.jpg

Day 7, Sesriem to Swakopmund

A spectacular sunset awakens us this morning. We travel north towards Walvis Bay via some glorious desert passes, and make our way along the coast, before finally arriving in Namibia's prime adventure resort - Swakopmund.

Day 8, Swakopmund

A leisure day today to get the feel of this quaint German town sandwiched between the edge of a massive dune field and the ocean. Take on some adventure activities or relax in a cafe on the beachfront.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Swakopmund_Namibia_/3358811537_s.jpg

Day 9, Swakopmund to Etosha National Park

The adventure town of Swakopmund has a Bavarian feel to it and is situated snugly between sea and desert. Swakopmund has an array of shops, bars, restaurants and great beaches. Here you are free to explore at your leisure or take part in one of the many activities. This is also a chance to catch up on all of your admin such as laundry and banking!

Day 10, Etosha National Park

Today we enjoy a full day of game driving, making our way east along the length of the park. After dinner make your way to another floodlit water hole to see what animals arrive at the water to drink, or relax at the campsite.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Etosha_National_Park_Namibia_/2807833461_s.jpg

Day 11, Etosha National Park to Waterberg

We leave Etosha and head towards the stunning Waterberg Plateau National Park. The area is rich in history and it was the site of the old war between the Germans and the Hereros.
Waterberg National Park is renowned for its rock formations and walks and you are free to walk in the park at your leisure.

Day 12, Waterberg National Park to Windhoek

Departing the picturesque Waterberg Plateau we head for Namibia's capital - Windhoek. Our afternoon is at leisure in this small but rather interesting city. Visit the local museum, street markets or go for some retail therapy in the variety of shops.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Windhoek_Namibia/3347002886_s.jpg

Day 13, Windhoek to Gobabis

After a leisurely morning we bid farewell to those ending their trip in Windhoek and head east to the border town of Gobabis.

Day 14, Gobabis to Maun

An early departure as we head for Botswana and the gateway to the Okavango Delta - Maun. You will be briefed about what to pack before going to the delta (as little as possible), as we will be travelling in mokoros (traditional dug-out canoes)! This afternoon we could enjoy a scenic flight over the Delta.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Maun_Botswana_/3364434847_s.jpg

Day 15, Maun to Okavango Delta

You have the opportunity to take a 3 day / 2 night excursion into the Delta. You travel in local transport and then in mokoros, the local dug out canoes, which are poled by local guides through the winding waterways. These local canoes are a perfect way to navigate this waterway wonder - the biggest inland Delta in the world. Your guides will select a place out in the bush to set up camp. An afternoon game walk will allow you to experience the Delta wilderness in all its glory.

Day 16, Okavango Delta

Today is a free day for you to spend at your leisure. The variety of optional activities range from game walks to swimming. Relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings.

Day 17, Maun to Nata

After breakfast we transfer back to Maun, jump in the truck and head east towards Nata. We spend tonight in a quaint lodge that is situated 10 km from Nata. The birdlife in this area is particularly spectacular due to the nearby Makgadikgadi Pans and Nata Sanctuary.

Day 18, Nata to Chobe National Park

We depart Nata and head for Kasane arriving at approx midday at our lodge on the banks of the Chobe River. To explore the Chobe National Park at its fullest we join a game drive and also the popular Chobe River cruise. Chobe is famous for its huge herds of Elephant, Hippo, Crocodile and an impressive array of birds and game.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Kasane_Botswana/2808733874_s.jpg

Day 20, Victoria Falls

The last day on safari gives you the opportunity to just relax and enjoy this spectacular natural wonder or you can join in the adrenalin rush that Victoria Falls is known for. Most activities are available throughout the year. On the ground the Falls can be seen from the Victoria Falls Park or from the Zambian side. Take a flight which will give you a panoramic view of the Falls, Batoka Gorge and the islands above the falls. Photographic opportunities abound. We suggest you allow yourself a few days after your safari if you wish to partake in some of the many activities.
