I'd like to spend a weekend (perhaps this one coming?) in Kosi. I have never been before. I live in Gillitts. I will be alone. I am not firghtened of roughing it but do not have the experience to 4x4 myself Please let me have your recommendations - they would mean the world to me. In particular I'd like to do the turtle tour. Is there transport other than the mini busses? Can't wait to hear from you

Hi Graham, The border post is called Manhoca and is just between Kosi Bay and Ponta do Ouro. The only public transport likely to exist is with local minivan taxis possibly heading into Ponta do Ouro. However you don't get much more off the beaten track than that so I recommend you contact the accommodation you will stay at in Kosi Bay and get a straight answer from a 'on the ground' person. Have fun!

I am desperately trying to find out information regarding travel to Kosi Bay (the border post) but am struggling! I was wondering if it is possible to get there without the use of a car, on my own, and at a reasonable budget. I'm coming from Johannesburg and i know that buses don't operate between the two... Thanks for your help Graham
