Golden Gate Highlands National Park Budget Safaris

Gold Gate Highlands National Park budget safaris have a blend of history, geology, wildlife and scenic views, with a range of attractions to be experienced within the park.

Famous for its beautiful ochre cliffs which gave the park its name, Golden Gates is also a prime site for dinosaur fossils. The oldest dinosaur embryos ever discovered were found in the park in 1978, dating back to the Triassic Period (220 to 195 million years ago). Other fossils include canine toothed carnivores, bird-like dinosaurs and crocodile-like fossils.

A number of San rock paintings can also be found in a number of caves throughout the park.
