Cedarberg Budget Travel

Cedarberg lies approximately two hours north of Cape Town, South Africa. This beautiful town is named after the rich cedar pines that are prolific in the region, and the air is fragrant with the smell of these trees.

With wonderful weather in the area, the summers are extremely hot and dry and the winters are wet and cold.

The Cedarberg Mountains and nature reserve are located close to Clanwilliam, approximately 300km north of Cape Town. The Cedarberg mountains extend about 50 km north-south by 20 km east-west and is an ideal spot to stay for any South African Overland Tour.

Cedarberg is renowned for its rock climbing routes, particularly around the Krakadouw and Tafelberg peaks. Hikes include Wolfberg Arch, Wolfberg Cracks and the Maltese Cross.
