Blyde River Canyon Budget Travel

Blyde River Canyon in Mpumalanga is the third largest canyon in the world, and is one of South Africa's scenic wonders.

Coming third in line after the Grand Canyon in the United States and the Fish River Canyon in Namibia, Blyde River Canyon budget travels gives a glimpse of one of the largest canyons on earth and is unquestionably the largest ‘green canyon’ because of its lush subtropical foliage.

This canyon is part of the famous Panorama route, which starts at the town Graskop and includes God’s Window, the Pinnalce and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. 

The Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve is home to all five of South Africa’s primates. These include the somango monkey, nocturnal greater and lesser bushbabies, chacma baboons and vervet monkeys. Hippos and crocodiles live in and around the Swadini Dam, as well as waterbirds and otters.
