About Aliwal North

Aliwal North in situated in the Eastern Cape and is known for its hot springs, nearby Buffelspruit Nature Reserve and the ancient San rock artwork etched into some of the area's rocks. A trip to Aliwal North gives travellers the perfect blend of nature and culture if you're looking for it. The town is dusted with beautiful old stone buildings and tree-lined streets that make for a pleasant stop on a trip in South Africa.

Hop on a camping overland trip that runs through South Africa and you may find yourself pitching a tent in one of Aliwal North's best camping spots.
