Addo Elephant National Park Budget Travel

Situated in the Sundays River Valley and Zuurberg Mountain range and an hour drive from Port Elizabeth in South Africa, this famous elephant park offers Addo Elephant budget travel options for nature and wildlife lovers alike.

Home to one of the densest African elephant population in the world, Addo is also home to a very small and unique inhabitant - the flightless Dung Beetle.

In 1931 there were less than 15 elephants in the Addo Elephant National Park, now after 7 decades the elephant population has grown to more than 450.

Addo Elephant National Park Budget Safaris

On Addo Elephant budget safaris you could be introduced to the "Big Seven" which the Addo Elephant National Park boasts. The Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Southern Right Whale and Great White Shark are an absolute wonder to see in their natural environment Spotted Hyena families have also been recently reintroduced to Addo.

Water in the Park is supplied from drilled boreholes as there are no natural waterholes. These manmade waterholes are located close to the access roads giving visitors the opportunity to take some excellent photos on your Addo budget overland tour.
