The Kruger Park is a very popular destination in South Africa for
game spotting and going on safari. The actual park lies on the border
of Mozambique and is one of the largest parks in
Africa. All of the “Big 5” (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant
and buffalo) animals roam around freely in the park and can often
be spotted at the various watering holes located near the visitors
camps.
The Kruger National Park has the greatest variety of wildlife than
any other wildlife park in Africa. The Park has numerous different
types and styles of accommodation which make it a great spot for
just about any traveller.
Certain animals prefer certain areas of the park and you may find
that some will congregate to the north of the Park and others to
the South. It may be best to find out which area of the park to
stay in if there is a specific animal that you wish to see.
There are a number of ways of viewing South Africa’s game.
If you are feeling adventurous then take a guided stroll through
the park (all guides are experienced and armed!), alternatively
enjoy a night or day drive in an open vehicle. The choice is yours!
