South Africa Overland Tours
The Garden Route covers a wonderful coastline that stretches between
Mossel Bay and the Tsitsikamma National Park. There are beautiful
hikes and gentle walks within the Tsitsikamma area.
The Garden Route has a rocky coastline with sheer cliff drops,
crashing Indian Ocean breakers and begins only a few hours up the
East Coast outside of Cape Town. Many travellers enjoy kayaking
along the rivers or even go tubing down Storms River. There are
great surfing spots along the Garden Route!
Bungee jumping off Blaaukrans is a major attraction along the
Garden Route. The drive towards the Blaaukrans River bridge is amazing
and you will be rewarded with sights of sparkling rivers and thick
vegetation. Experience the adrenalin rush of bungee jumping off
the highest commercial jump in the world.
When jumping off Blaaukrans River Bridge, you will find yourself
hurtling head first into a deep gorge surrounded by mountains covered
in indigenous flora. The jump is steep and has a seven second freefall.
What an exciting way to enjoy the Garden Route!
The Garden Route has often been referred to as Africa’s Garden
of Eden and is a hide away for poets, artists and anyone who has
an appreciation for natural wonders.
