The towering Drakensberg mountains are situated in Kwazulu-Natal and extend through to Mpumalanga.

This mountainous wonderland extends for 200 kilometres and offers a true paradise for all levels of hikers. Stroll through secluded valleys, walk along the winding footpaths or face up to the challenge of hiking up to the upper reaches of the Drakensberg. The highest pub in Africa is situated on the one of the peaks in the Drakensberg!

During the winter months these high peaked mountains are covered in snow. Summer provides a beautiful contrast in scenery with plenty of birdlife, lush green grasses, wild flowers, small waterfalls and crystal clear rock pools (perfect for fishing).

The Drakensberg offers awe inspiring views of gorges and of picture perfect mountain peaks. The area is serene and tranquil and adds a sense of completeness to its lucky visitors.
