What is the difference between a short overland tour and
a combination tour?
A single overland short tour is made up of one
segment. In other words, it is an entire tour. For example, the
whole overland group starts in Cape Town together and arrives in
Victoria Falls after 21 days. However, some of the people on your
trip might have booked on a overland combination tour.
Combination tours are made up of different segments.
Each segment has its own group of clients, you might be on the same
truck with the same crew but it is also likely that you change trucks
and crew.
So, if you get to Victoria Falls and you are packing your bag to
fly back home, the friends you have just made on your short
tour from Cape Town to Victoria Falls, are continuing onwards
to, for example, Nairobi. They will not only be experiencing much
more of this amazing continent, but if you have a look at the financial
side of things, you will see that our combination tours
are great value for money. Instead of flying directly back to your
country of final departure, why not get an overland tour that ends
in that country? This can often be cheaper than booking a flight!
Our clients have also found that booking on a combination
tour allows you to meet many different people from all
walks of life. The combination tour system allows you to not only
meet many different people but also to make friends for life, don’t
forget: Strangers are just unknown friends!
