Kigali Budget Travel
Kigali is the capital city of Rwanda, in Central Africa and is an ideal stopover during Rwandan backpacking tours.
With beautiful lush vegetation and a war-ridden history, Kigala budget travel offers a glimpse into an interesting place which has an air of hope despite the poverty and ruin of this formerly beautiful city.
Kigali Budget Safaris
Like most of Rwanda, Kigali was severely affected by the civil war and genocide in the country. While it is now safe to travel through the area, signs of the city’s tumulus past can still be seen.
Kigali budget safaris offer a number of cheap lodgings and the general cost of living is relatively low, making it ideal for budget travel.
One of the main highlights in this town is the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, which opened in April 2004 on the 10th anniversary of the Rwandan genocides. Over 250,000 people are buried here, and there is a beautifully organised museum which will touch all visitors quite deeply.
Other highlights include the Dancing Pots Craft Centre, the Cards for Africa workshop, markets and a variety of great food stalls and restaurants serving local dishes.
