Praia Do Tofo Whale Shark Safari

More whale than shark but when you see the size of one you can’t help but be a little nervous and thrilled at the same time.

A Praia Do Tofo Whale Shark Safari is one of the highlights of any trip to Mozambique.

These huge majestic creatures have made the warm coastal waters their home for a good part of the year but are particularly easy to spot in summer (September to February).

No SCUBA diving qualification is required as swimming and snorkelling is the order of the day and after a quick boat ride out from the beach you will soon be swimming with these giants of the deep.

Beg, borrow or hire an underwater camera but the boat trip and snorkelling equipment is included.

I am sure that if your colleague asks a local person there they will point them in the right direction. The address is also not listed on the SOS website.
