Orange River Canoeing

The historic Orange River has an intricate and interesting history but today the modern border between South Africa and Namibia now divides its time between farmland irrigation and canoe trips as its main source of excitement.

A relaxing Orange River Canoeing trip winds it way between barren, desert hills and green cultivated farm lands and you can choose the length of time you wish to stay.

Overnight trips are available for those who have more time but a half day quiet drift along the (mostly) flat waters will give you a good taste of the local flora and fauna.

Why do the Orange River Canoeing?

Historic river of gold Borders Namibia and South Africa Drifting through the mountains Calm and peaceful
