Okavango Delta to Johannesburg

Day 1, Victoria Falls

Today we visit the spectacular Victoria Falls, also known as the  “Mosi-oa Tunya” (the smoke that thunders). Day at leisure to explore all that Victoria Falls has to offer. Tonight we enjoy an optional dinner out, your guide will assist you to decide
on the many options available

Day 2, Victoria Falls to Kasane

This morning we depart Victoria Falls and after a short drive cross the border of Zimbabwe into Botswana. We set up camp for the night at the banks of the Chobe River and prepare for our first night under Botswana's star-filled skies. Chobe is renowned for the large herds of elephant around the Chobe River so bring plenty of spare film!

Day 3, Chobe National Park to Caprivi Strip via (Nata)

Today we cross into Namibia as we journey across the Caprivi Strip, much of our day is spent travelling through Game Parks and there is always the
possibility of a lucky sighting. Our base tonight is on the banks of the Okavango River, here we will prepare for the upcoming Delta excursions. 

Day 4, Caprivi Strip to Okavango Delta

Returning to Botswana this morning we make our way into the Okavango Delta, one of Africa’s great wilderness areas. The seasonality of the flood waters
lends the Delta its ever changing character. While water levels may fluctuate the tranquillity of this wilderness area remains constant.

Day 5, Okavango Delta

Early morning and late afternoon game walks give you time in the middle of the day to relax, chill out and enjoy your surroundings. Why don't you have a go at poling your own mokoro? It is not as easy as it looks!

Day 6, Okavango Delta to Maun

Leaving the Delta behind us this morning we make our way to our overnight stop in the bustling town of Maun.

Day 7, Maun to Central Kalahari

This morning we travel to the Ghanzi district in the central Kalahari. The Kalahari Desert is home to the San people and our stay here will present us with the opportunity to learn more about these fascinating people. 

Day 8, Central Kalahari to Gweta via (Khama Rhino Sanctuary)

We begin the day with a guided walk with our San guides who will introduce us to the many secrets of their survival in the Kalahari Desert.  We carry some of this knowledge with us this afternoon as we travel south on the Trans-Kalahari highway to our overnight stop in the
small town of Kang, the gateway to the Kalahari

Day 9, Gweta to Johannesburg

Today we cross the border into South Africa and a long drive brings us to the outskirts of the 'city of gold', Johannesburg and the end of our trip.
