White Water Rafting on the Nile could conjure up images of big, bright, inflatable boats cruising past the Great Pyramids of Egypt – hmmm… you couldn’t be more wrong.
‘Raft the Source’ is the catch phrase – the source of the Nile that is, the world’s longest river.
Fortunately you can spend the day rafting just a small piece of it and a true adrenalin buzz is there for the taking. Calm rapids meet not-very calm ones and the whole thing can be captured on video should you wish to argue with your fellow rafters about who fell out less often!
A river side stop for lunch allows time for telling stories about who got the ‘biggest air’ and is a welcome (and dry) break before jumping back in and finishing the day in style – Uganda style.
