Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Make your way from Kampala to Entebbe and Lake Victoria before jumping in the boat and heading out to the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
Set up in 1998 for Chimps rescued, confiscated and stolen from individuals and company's dealing in the illegal pet trade, the Sanctuary boasts quite a population of cheeky ‘relatives’.

The highlight of my trip had to be Gweru in Zimbabwe, it was my idea of paradise. So much to do there with the animals and the location of it was just beautiful!

The trip was great! A very relaxed ride in a mokoro, followed by camping in the Okavango Delta and watching the animals on the islands was awesome!
