Did you know…?
The oldest humanoid bones ever found were found in Africa.
Claudia – your friendly overland tour expert!
After 8 years of travelling, Claudia settled in Cape Town and started OverlandingAfrica.com. It was basically a great way for her to still talk and talk (and talk…) about overlanding in Africa!
5 Quick questions…
-
What is Favorite travel destination?
That’s an easy one: everywhere in Africa! There’s nothing better than watching the sun go down, with a cold beer in your hand, looking out over the Serengeti, the Okavango Delta, the Indian Ocean, the Namib Desert, need I go on?
- When packing for touring, what’s in first?
A Kikoi! (Sarong). Plenty of uses: to cover up, as a long skirt, when it’s hot it serves as a sheet, works well as a towel, or a dishcloth, or to ward off curious hyenas!
- Ultimate travel dream?
Take my old Land Rover, drive to Cape Point turn around and head north. When I finally get north, I’ll turn my Land Rover around again and if there’s still some money left, I’ll drive back down to South Africa!
- What do you do when not working?
I don’t think I ever stop working! Africa’s my passion and it happens to be my job. I talk, eat, sleep and dream Africa and love every minute of it!
