Nairobi National Park

You don’t expect a National Park to be in the middle of a city right? Well Nairobi National Park is an exception to the rule with its 113sq.km. expanse smack bang in the middle of the city centre.

Park wildlife numbers are every changing thanks to seasonal migration (July – August, city or no city) but the Park is permanent home to the protected and indigenous Black Rhino.

If that is not interesting enough Nairobi National Park is also where the President Daniel Arab Moi famously torched 10 tonnes of ivory in an effort to show poachers that their endeavors to feed the illegal ivory market were futile and would be stopped.

A very interesting and educational place to visit before or after your trip.

Why do the Nairobi National Park?

Rare Black Rhino
Interesting and educational
In the city
Migration wildlife herds
