A day-by-day breakdown of what to expect and where you'll be staying.
Day 1, Marrakech
Today we pick you up from the airport and transfer you to our hotel in the city. This is a free day to explore this vibrant city before returning to the hotel for our pre-departure meeting. Afterwards we are off to dinner at a popular local restaurant.
Day 2, Marrakech to Rabat via (Casablanca)
This morning we set off and make out way to Casablanca to visit the stunning Hassan 2 Mosque before we reach the bustling capital of Rabat.
Day 3 to 4, Rabat to Chefchaouen
After a busy morning seeing the best sights of Rabat we head to Meknes and enjoy some free time. Tomorrow we drive high up into the Rif Mountains to visit the old Berber post of Chefchaouen. The kasbah, mosques, cafes and busy markets make this striking blue and white painted town a must see!
Day 5 to 6, Chefchaouen to Fez via (Volubilis)
A guided tour of the ancient Roman ruins at Volubilis is a sight to behold and afterwards we make our way to the largest medieval city in the world, Fes. A visit to the medina is a must and today wraps up with a lively night of first class Moroccan entertainment and food at a local restaurant.
Day 7 to 8, Fez to Merzouga
This morning we journey over the Moyan Atlas and stop at scenic, alpine Midelt. A small hike this afternoon lets you experience this beautiful region firsthand.
After a good nights sleep we enjoy a stunning drive to Merzouga where we have lunch. After lunch it is off on a camel to our overnight stop at a Berber Camp in the stunning Sahara Desert.
Day 9, Merzouga to Todra Gorge
Leaving the desert behind us we head for Todra Gorge - Morocco’s Grand Canyon. Explore the ever changing colours and shape of the gorge as the sun chases the shadows over the rock faces.
Day 10, Todra Gorge to Ait ben Haddou
A short trip to Gorge du Dades starts our morning and the colourful fruit and nut trees and extraordinary red rock formations make for fantastic photo opportunities. After lunch we continue to Ait Ben Haddou for a tour of the famous Kasbah, where the movie 'Lawrence of Arabia' was filmed.
Day 11, Ait ben Haddou to Essaouira via (High Atlas)
To get to today's destination we cross the gorgeous High Atlas Mountains before arriving at the coastal, historic, 15th century Portugese fort of Essaouira. This cute fishing town boasts a UNESCO-listed medina that is well worth a look!
Day 12, Essaouira
Explore the compact, traveller-friendly medina, with its eclectic mix of art galleries, fine restaurants, pavement cafes, and bustling souks or the large open square, great for a coffee break and a spot of quality people-watching which leads onto a quaint port where fishermen still bring in the daily catch and mend their nets. Essaouira Bay begins directly outside the medina's walls, and is perfect for a swim, sunbathing, or a slow stroll along its golden sandy shore.
Day 13, Essaouira to Marrakech
We leave the coast behind this morning, arriving in Marrakech in time for lunch perhaps overlooking the famous Jemaa el Fna square. This is followed by an afternoon guided walk through Marrakech's bustling medina, where this former Imperial city's history, architecture, craftsmanship, and special character comes alive thanks to our local Marrakchi guide.
Day 14, Marrakech
Some personal exploration of Marrakech is the plan. You may wish to do some more sightseeing, try a new restaurant, 'attack' the souks for some bargains, find some boutique shops in the ville nouvelle, or hop aboard the 'City Sightseeing Bus' for a leisurely drive around the city. After dinner we could visit some of this exotic city's nightlife, or head back to Jemaa el Fna for a last look at this unique spectacle.
Day 15, Marrakech
Most international flights depart Marrakech mid-morning, so after breakfast we bid 'farewell' and 'ma sallama' and head off to the airport.

The highlight of my trip had to be Gweru in Zimbabwe, it was my idea of paradise. So much to do there with the animals and the location of it was just beautiful!
