Within the national park, Ambre Mountain is found in the montane forest that's hoisted up, thriving, the surrounding dry region lying below it.

This fella is a chameleon. Montagne d'Ambre has a lot of these guys lurking about the rest of the park's rich land.

Fan of hiking? Hikes in the area are top-notch. The park bursts with vibrant green vegetation and the trails wind their way through it.

The town of Sakaramy is a decent spot to stop on your way to Montagne d'Ambre National Park. Take a moment to chat to a local, or try the area's unusual-looking jack fruit.

Montagne d'Ambre National Park really is a gem of a park. That's why you'll find it incredibly easy to get to the park from one of the surrounding towns - there are bush taxis that head to the park every day.
