A day-by-day breakdown of what to expect and where you'll be staying.
Day 1, Livingstone
Our day is at leisure to explore the town of David Livingstone and experience some of the many activities.
Day 2, Livingstone
With a day full of adventure, be sure not to miss the Bungee from Victoria Falls bridge, World class White Water rafting or abseil down Batoka Gorge. For the less adventurous there is horse back safaris, elephant back safaris, and the ever popular 'Flight of the Angels'.
Day 3, Livingstone to Lake Kariba
We camp tonight on the tranquil shores of Lake Kariba, home to Hippo, Crocodile and a wide range of bird life. A sunset cruise on the lake is a photographers dream.
Day 4 to 5, Lake Kariba to Lower Zambezi Valley
Heading down the Lower Zambezi Valley we spend two nights at our lodge on the banks of the river. Enjoy a full day canoeing down the Zambezi River, home of the tribal mythical god 'Nyami Nyami'. After 2 days spent bird watching and game viewing we spend the evening relaxing around the campfire.
Day 6, Lower Zambezi Valley to Lusaka
Lusaka is where we stock up on supplies in the bustling shops and markets of the Zambian capital.
Day 7 to 9, Lusaka to South Luangwa National Park
South Luangwa National Park is wild and remote and has an abundance of wildlife rarely seen in other game reserves. We base ourselves on the banks of the Luangwa River and explore the area with a game walks and a game drive.
Day 10, South Luangwa National Park to Lilongwe
We head to the Capital of Malawi, Lilongwe where we restock with fresh supplies in the local markets. The old city centres vibrant markets, cafes, shops and restaurants are well worth a visit.
Day 11 to 12, Lilongwe to Cape Maclear
Camping on the beach at Cape Maclear in the Lake Malawi National Park, a World Heritage Site, we'll take a boat out to the islands to explore the fantastic bays and coves in the area and can snorkel around the island at Otter Point to see the colourful endemic fish.
Day 13 to 14, Cape Maclear to Mozambique Coast
Heading south through Blantyre, named after the birth place of legendary explorer David Livingstone, we enter Mozambique. Making our way back over the Zambezi River we travel through the Tete region, camping en route.
Day 15 to 16, Benguerra Islands
We reach the Indian Ocean and turn south towards our casitas in Vilankulo. A full day is spent exploring the Benguerra Islands on a local dhow. Beautiful blue sea, expansive white beaches and some excellent seafood available - what a day!
Day 17 to 18, Benguerra Islands to Inhambane
Arab influences are strong in Inhambane dating back to when slaves, ivory, gold and spices were traded. Explore the town and its 200-year-old cathedral, before visiting Praia de Barra and our casitas under the palms. Dhow trips and scuba diving are some of the optional activities available.
Day 19 to 20, Inhambane to Kruger National Park
We enter the greater Kruger National Park to visit big game country! Exciting game drives allow chances to spot lions, giraffe and the mighty elephant. Relaxing in the tranquil bush we experience the true African wilderness.
Day 21, Kruger National Park to Johannesburg
An opportunity for a early morning game drive before we return to Johannesburg and the end of our tour.
