Tripoli is the capital city of Libya. Tripoli backpacking tours offer a range of attractions from beaches to museums, delicious Arabic cuisine and friendly and welcoming people.

Safety Tips

•Alcohol is illegal across the country and buying booze on the black market could carry heavy penalties
•Be aware that if your passport shows travel to Israel, you will not be allowed to enter Libya
•Women do not have to cover their heads, however long sleeves and long skirts are essential
•Petty crime can be an issue in Tripoli so keep your moneybag hidden under your shirt
•You will not need your travel documents with you when you are sightseeing, so keep a copy of your passport with you, and the rest safe at your hotel in a safety deposit box
