Lebanon Customs - Overlanding Africa.com

Lebanon customs for your Overlanding Africa.com trip are fairly straightforward, with allowances for a certain limit of tobacco products, alcohol, perfume and gifts. Travellers under the age of 18 years are permitted half of the adult custom requirements for import, with the exception of alcohol and tobacco products, which are illegal for under 18 year old travellers to import or export.

Additional export regulations include the following prohibited and highly regulated items:

•    Weapons, ammunitions, narcotics and archeological pieces and currencies are strictly prohibited to export out of Lebanon.
•    Travellers wanting to export fur and valuable coats, jewellery, watches, cameras and similar items or any other valuables must declare in writing their wish to bring these items out of the country.

If you have previously been travelling to a destination where Yellow Fever is found, such as an Africa safari destination that you may have visited before entering Lebanon, then you will also need to provide a medical certificate of Yellow Fever vaccination to prove that you have been vaccinated against this disease.
