Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru rests on the edge of the small town of Nakuru and is encompassed by the Lake Nakuru National Park.

One of the many Rift Valley soda Lakes, Lake Nakuru has become a popular home of Greater and Lesser Flamingos. In fact their population has become so dense that the Lake surface often becomes a solid mass of pink – a gorgeous sight!

Lake Nakuru National Park is also become a sanctuary for the rare Black Rhino and now boasts one of the largest concentrations in Kenya.

Keep an eye out for Rothschilds Giraffe, Waterbuck, Lion and Leopard as well as some of the huge Pythons crossing the road or hanging around in trees!

Why do the Lake Nakuru National Park?

A sanctuary for the rare Black Rhino. Well known for the huge population of Flamingo that turns the lake's surface bright pink!
