Lake Naivasha Budget Travel

Lake Naivasha budget travel explores the beautiful freshwater lake situated in Kenya, north-west of Nairobi, near the town of Naivasha. The lake is part of the Great Rift Valley, and is a popular stopover for backpacking tours in Kenya.

The name comes from the local Maasai name Nai'posha, which means "rough water" because of the sudden storms which arise.

Lake Naivasha budget safaris offer a number of attractions and activities to experience, and with cheap accommodation options available in the area, it is also ideal for travelers on a budget.

The lake is home to an abundance of wildlife, including over 400 different species of birds. Hippos can also be found in the lake. 

There are two smaller lakes situated near to Lake Naivasaha. These are Lake Oloiden and Lake Sonachi, which is a green crater lake. The Crater Lake Game Sanctuary can also be found nearby and is well worth a visit.
