Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya

Lake Nakuru National Park is situated around the soda Lake Nakuru which boasts a spectacular myriad of pretty pink flamingoes. The shallow lake makes up most of the national park but also extends into parts of the wild savannah. The park has just been increased in size to provide a protected sanctuary for the black rhino and other species of wildlife. Animals that are common to the area are warthog, waterbuck and an abundance of impala.

The town of Nakuru is close to the National Park and is easily accessible by road. The tar road connects Lake Nakuru National Park to Nairobi, making it easy to get from this area to major cities.
