Health Precautions in Jordan – Health
While generally you will not have much trouble during your safari in Lebanon, there are a few health precautions in Jordan – health facilities can be found in Amman and other major towns, however the desert and other outlying areas medical help may not be on a par with Western standards, so staying healthy is essential to avoid any complications from affecting your Jordan travel experience.
Tap water in Amman and other cities or larger towns may be drinkable, but to be on the safe side it is best to stick to bottled water. When in doubt, ask one of the locals if the water is safe for drinking. Food is fairly rich, but unless you are sampling some of the street vendor food stalls, it should be safe to eat. A general rule of thumb is to look out for the busy restaurants and food stalls, as these will be the ones that have the freshest and best food.
