Jordan Conservation

With a number of World Heritage Sites as well as protected wetlands and other areas, Jordan conservation plays a major role in protecting the countries limited ecosystems. Many environmental issues have affected Jordan’s flora and fauna, with major issues including desertification, overgrazing, pollution, water limitations and overhunting.

Preservation Jordan

With many plant and animal species facing extinction, preservation Jordan efforts are increasingly urgent – while only 3.3% of the country’s land area is protected, continuous efforts by government and various environmental groups are in place to preserve the natural environments and habitats of Jordan, from the coastal areas to the deserts and valleys.
