Many travelers are curious about the best time to visit Ethiopia – when is the best to go then?
With year round good weather and fairly stable temperatures, Ethiopia is great to visit any time of year, with each season offering a different attraction.
The rainy season runs from June to October, which makes some of the country’s non-paved roads very difficult to navigate. This season is also low season for game spotting, as water sources are more accessible to game, which is therefore harder to spot.
Towards the end of the rainy season, between September and early October, the entire country is lush and green, with an abundance of plants and a number of birds to be spotted – especially in forest areas.
The dry season is generally from October to May, and is the best time of year to visit in terms of clear weather, while still offering beautiful scenery and rich birdlife.
