Birdlife

Omorate birdlife includes Harwood's francolin, Prince Ruspoli's turaco, Nechisar nightjar, Degodi lark, Sidamo lark, white-tailed swallow as well as Abyssinian longclaw.

Conservation

Omorate conservation is fairly important, however as the town is so small, there are very few conservation efforts within the region.

•Atovaquone/proguanil (Malarone)

Plants

Omorate plant life is mostly comprised of dry savanna and Acacia-Balanites woodland, with very little plant to be found.

Safety Tips

•Areas near Somalia, such as the Fik, Degehabur, Gode, Korahe and Warder should be avoided
•Areas near the Eritrea border should also be avoided
•Roads and towns within 50 km of the borders with Sudan and Kenya are also unsafe
•Avoid street demonstrations or large crowds which may turn violent
•Indiscriminate terrorist attacks can occur, so be vigilant at all times

Wildlife

Omorate wildlife is fairly sparse, however a number of Sibiloi rabbits can be found across the region, alongside a number of small rodents and reptiles.

Recent Feedback

The highlight of my trip had to be Gweru in Zimbabwe, it was my idea of paradise. So much to do there with the animals and the location of it was just beautiful!
