Ethiopia Airports

Ethiopia airports are mostly limited to the main airport in the country, which is situated near the capital city of Addis Ababa.

The main airline operating in the country is Ethiopian Airlines (EAL) who is fairly affordable and generally reliable. It is a good idea to book flights in advance however, and reconfirm a day before flying, and seats fill up quickly and over-booking is common.

Other airlines operating in Ethiopia include Lufthansa, Sudan Airways, British Airways, KLM, Turkish Airways and Emirates.

Airports in Ethiopia

The major airports in Ethiopia include Bole International Airport, which is the hub for travel across Ethiopia as well as the international gateway to the country.

Bole International Addis Ababa Airport
Bole International is situated just outside Addis Ababa, and has fairly good facilities, including bank, duty-free shops, restaurants and bars. Shops do not accept local currency however, so make sure you have Euros or Dollars on hand.
