Health Precautions in England

England is a first world country, with an excellent National Health System which provides free health care for its people.

Health precautions in England are therefore not something to worry about – but you should ensure that your health is in order before travelling to ensure a healthy and happy trip.

Water and Food in England
Tap water is generally safe to drink, except in trains, where there is a warning sign. Water from springs or streams should be avoided however as this is not always clean.

Sunburn in England

The sun is surprisingly bright in England, and even on overcast days you can still get burned. Wear a hat and sunscreens at all times, even in winter, and reapply if you are swimming.

Medicine and Doctors in England
Emergency services are provided for free in England, while routine medicine may be charged a fairly low rate. There are a wide number of chemists and clinics across the country, with world-class healthcare facilities.
