One of the most common questions travelers ask is: ‘when is the best time to visit Egypt?’
There are many interesting seasons, all offering a different attraction, but the best time to Egypt is generally during mid October to May. This is also peak tourist season however, and the slightly cooler weather brings in a large number of visitors. Prices can be steeper during these months but the weather is generally cooler and more manageable.
The hot summer months between May and October are much quieter and cheaper, but temperatures ranging up to the 46° C (114° F) during June to August. Humidity is also high around August.
Spring runs from March to April, and despite the 5 day Khamsin wind which brings sand storms and high winds, the weather is generally mild and pleasant. Flowers are also in full bloom along river valleys and flower shops are filled with beautiful blooms.
