Egypt Airports

Egypt airports include a fairly large number of domestic airports in destinations such as Alexandria, Giza and Port Said, plus two major international airports in Cairo and Luxor.

Generally, as Egypt is a fairly large tourist-orientated airport, facilities are fairly good at most airports, with many offering paved runways and fairly reliable flights.

Airports in Egypt

There are two major international airports in Egypt, which include Cairo and Luxor. As the country’s two biggest tourist destinations, these airports are the most common stops for travelers to Egypt.

Cairo International Airport
Cairo International Airport is situated 22km from the country’s capital, and has top rate facilities including restaurant, cafeterias, banks and ATMs, bureau de change, pharmacies, Internet café, 5-star lounges, duty free shops, tourist desks, travel agents and free shuttle services.

Luxor International Airport
Luxor International Airport is situated 6km from the city of Luxor. Facilities are fairly good, and include bureau de change, restaurants, shops, a tourist information desk, post office, left luggage, wheelchairs and car rentals.
